“Bard-In-A-Box”, a special touring program Our professional actor will bring a fun interactive workshop to your school! Bring William Shakespeare’s world to life - in your classroom, in your library, at your summer camp, at your club meeting, or anywhere a group of students or adults meet. This workshop is designed to get your group out of their seats and up “on stage”. It can be customized for any age group - Kindergarten through adults. The time slot can be adjusted for your schedule - anywhere from about 20 minutes to an hour. Ahead of time, your teacher or group leader will consult with one of our professional actors to choose a Shakespeare play and a date. Then on that whimsical day, our actor arrives with an intriguing box filled with costumes, props, and scripts. Your participants learn the same physical warm-ups and vocal warm-ups that professional actors exercise before a performance. The the colorful costumes and props are distributed. Roles are assigned. Your participants are transformed into a royal court of Renaissance England. Our professional actor will step aside, because your group will become the actors, staging an entertaining scene - with each other and for each other. The cost is $150.
